I am a clothes hoarder. There, I said it. I have a serious emotional attachment to clothes that go back 10 years. Clothes that I haven’t worn in 10 years. Some of it is warranted. My Grandmother crocheted amazing clothes. Those I will cherish forever and hope that my daughter appreciates and wears them. Some items are vintage and very well-made that they withstand the test of time in style and quality. But, there are a lot of items that need to go! Pre-kids and husband I had the luxury to keep it all and hope for that one occasion to revive it. But now, there is just not room.

I recently became aware of a Capsule Wardrobe? Have you heard of it? This may be a great motivator for donating your old clothes and household goods to make room for more style and ease when getting ready, and packing?I am honestly being buried by clothes and my unhealthy emotional attachment to so many pretties (that I don’t even wear) is creating chaos in our family! Plus making packing near impossible.

So, I challenge myself this week to part with clothes that are not useful to me anymore, but can really be useful in creating jobs and giving clothing to other people! (Too bad I can’t enter into the contest)! Details below!

Donate stuff. Create jobs.
